As the design+build partner of Joliet Cold Storage for their first freezer distribution warehouse, we performed site acquisition, design, engineering, site development and construction management services on this 845,000 sf project. Encompassing three phases over seven years, the final phase made this the largest cold storage facility in the Midwest.
This state-of-the-art facility includes blast freezing capabilities, a highly efficient Low Charge Ammonia System and two each 1500 kw Diesel Emergency Generators.
Value Add: We assisted in finding a prime location for the development of this project, ensuring that it met their objectives for future growth and was closely situated to Highway 80, aiding in logistics as it allows for ease of transportation and coordination with truck drivers.
