Historic Façade Preserved
The adjacent 11-story Farwell Building represents one of the few buildings from the 1920's to remain on Michigan Avenue. We meticulously measured, catalogued, removed and restored the French-inspired limestone façade from the building prior to demolition. Metal panels were also catalogued, removed and refurbished to their original finish. The Commission on Chicago Landmarks ensured the integrity of the historic building was maintained while we reapplied exterior panels to the new structure.
