Over 350 employees attended Safety Day, an annual event hosted by our Safety Group with classes taught by our Site Safety Coordinators. The day consisted of a networking breakfast, training sessions, and a keynote presentation. Field certification courses and a variety of practical training sessions were available for employees to partake in. Certifications covering a wide range of subjects were awarded to more than 100 attendees. Additionally, we hosted facilitators from Laborers Training Center, Designed Equipment, Athletico, Perspectives, One Way Safety and Hygieneering.
This event was a great way to kick off Construction Safety Week and The National Stand-down to Prevent Fall in Construction which happened May 6th - 10th. At Power, we make it our mission to always be proactive when it comes to safety and to remain accountable for the decisions we make and the effects they have. During the work week, we focus on driving personal ownership and encouraging and welcoming new ideas. We value the hard work of our committed safety professionals who spearhead our dedication to a workplace free from injuries for our employees, clients, and subcontractors. Safety is always our first priority!
