POSITION SUMMARY:

The Power BI Developer will be a member of the Operations Technology Team who manages the development and maintenance of our Power BI environment. This includes working with all stakeholders to maintain and improve existing Power BI objects as needed, as well as, working to develop new Power BI requests such as requirements gathering, development, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and post-production maintenance.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Implement, support, or test various business applications, general change management and documentation
• Manage the development and ongoing maintenance of our Power BI Environment
• Support and troubleshooting of operations processes
• Support various project and development tasks as requested
• Basic Sharepoint development and troubleshooting
• General collaboration with Sharepoint developer
• Collaboration with all business units of Power to deliver various projects
• Utilize a consultative approach to identify how to best implement a solution for desired outcomes
• Train and support internal employees on various operations processes relating to software

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Management Information Systems or related field
• Proficiency with Power BI Desktop or similar data visualization tool. Knowledge of data modelling, ETL processes, and report design basics
• Customer Service Experience
• Strong ability to present in front of groups
• Knowledge of Database Design principles [Types of joins, Relationships (one/one, one/many, many/many), Primary/Foreign keys, etc.]
• Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) or other querying language, highly preferred
