Power Construction Breaks Ground on Expanded ED for Little Company of Mary Hospital

Our VIP Group recently began a $25 million renovation project for Little Company of Mary Hospital that includes nearly doubling the size of its emergency department.  The current 14,300 sf facility will grow to 30,000 sf that will feature 29 beds with larger, more modern examination rooms and a dedicated fast-track area to improve patient wait times, especially for those with less serious conditions. A new imaging suite will enable procedures such as X-rays, CT scans, and ultrasounds to be performed within the department, so patients won't have to be moved to another area of the hospital.  A dedicated behavioral health suite is also planned.  Environmentally-friendly materials will reduce noise transfer throughout the unit, enhancing safety and privacy for patients.

We are using an Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) approach that integrates key members from ownership, design and construction – including Little Company of Mary Hospital, Anderson Mikos Architects, and IMEG – into a seamless team to maximize efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize results.

This ED Expansion is the latest of more than 30 projects completed for Little Company of Mary Hospital and over 40 constructed with Anderson Mikos Architects.  We look forward to continuing our relationships with these firms.
